UMN Landscape Arboretum Three-Mile Drive Rest Stops
This project included construction of three rest stops along the scenic 3-Mile Drive at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. These unique structures were built along the park trail to provide partial shelter, visitor maps and information regarding the nearby trails and gardens. The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is more than 1,200 acres of gardens, tree collections, prairies, woods and miles of trails.
The Arboretum was established in 1958 with several community supporters creating the Arboretum as a gift to the University of Minnesota.
