UMN Lab School – CDC Unified Building Project
This project updated the University of Minnesota’s Child Development Center (CDC) resulting from the unification of the Shirley G. Moore Lab School and the CDC. The 18,700 sf renovation and 13,300 sf addition provides space for the combined programs and operations. Work included 13 classrooms, two curriculum libraries, two multipurpose rooms, demonstration kitchen/art room/maker space, a wider entrance for easier pick-ups and drop-offs, a 40-50 student capacity classroom, new and reconfigured administrative office space, research space suite, an expanded kitchen, improved technology, teaching/observation rooms and building code updates.
