East Metro Public Safety Training Center
This project included two phases of construction. The first involved the construction of a two-story addition to the Burn Tower to include an integrated fire simulation system and simulated smoke. The second phase involved the construction of a classroom building which included a training room, two offices, storage space and men’s and women’s restrooms. The site is operated by a Joint Powers Agreement between the Cities of Maplewood, Oakdale, North Saint Paul and Lake Elmo. It is used by more than 20 local fire departments annually.
