Carleton College Sayles-Hill Waterproofing Deck Repairs
This project included an exterior waterproofing deck replacement with an occupied space below, tuckpointing with existing brick removal and replacement at the base detail of the deck. The waterproofing system consisted of a monolithic membrane 6125-FR, Hydroflex 30, Hydrodrain 300 Series drainage mat and 2” of polystyrene with 5 of new concrete topping slab. Because there was an occupied space below the existing exterior deck, Terra provided an overhead shelter consisting of 2x blocking and reinforced poly. Terra also retained the services of International Leak Detection (ILD) to perform a number of membrane and assembly tests.
