Carleton College Residence Halls & Faculty Club

This project included the removal and replacement of all heating equipment with equipment capable of heating Myers Hall and the spaces within the facility with 120 degree water upon completion of Carleton’s UMP project. The work included replacement of all make up air heating coils, zone reheat coils, cabinet unit heaters and all fin tube radiation. The existing steam to hot water heat exchangers were left until the steam boiler system was ready to be disconnected. The existing pneumatic temperature control system was completely replaced with a DDC control system that communicates to the campus Energy Management System. New chilled water mains (supply and return) were installed for future connections if cooling is added to the building. The project was completed along with James/Cassat and Faculty Club Annex in the summer of 2017.
