Savage Fire Station #1 Remodel
This project modernized an existing fire station, creating safer, more efficient, and comfortable spaces for firefighters while enhancing daily operations. Renovations included complete interior updates and upgraded systems, with a strong focus on climate control. Two new air handlers were installed—one per floor—along with new VAV units, mechanical chases, and ductwork, improving temperature control in dorms, the kitchen, and fitness areas. The kitchen was relocated upstairs to create a combined dining and fitness space, funded through additional City resources. A new fire sprinkler system was installed throughout, enhancing safety. Key areas included a 6,700 sf apparatus bay, 3,800 sf first floor, and 3,600 sf second floor, all designed for modern functionality and resilience.
